Your data, kept simple.

CouplesMatch (“we”, “the app”) is a Yes/No game for couples. This policy explains what data the app and this website handle and why.

Without an account

You can play without an account. In that case everything stays on your device: the partner names you enter, your round history and your app settings. We don't receive any of it.

With an optional account

If you create an account, we store:

• Your email address — to identify your account and let you sign in.
• Your password — stored only as a salted, one-way hash. We can't read it.
• Your synced app data — the partner names you entered and your round history (deck name, date, number of cards and the cards you both matched on).
• Sign-in sessions — random tokens that keep you signed in on the website and in the app.

We use this data only to provide sign-in and to back up and restore your game data. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to track you.

What we don't do

• No ads, no analytics SDKs and no third-party tracking in the app.
• No individual Yes/No answers are stored — only the cards you both matched on.
• No location, contacts, photos or other device data is collected.

Where data is stored

Account data is stored on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages and the Cloudflare D1 database), which hosts this website and its API. Cloudflare processes data on our behalf as a service provider. All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules daily reminders locally on your device. No push server is involved and no data is sent to us.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your account data until you delete your account. You can delete it at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account) or on the Account page. Deleting your account permanently removes your email, password hash, sessions and synced data from our database right away. You can also email us to request a copy or deletion of your data.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
